Ironically, it is ill suited against airborne targets, as it possesses a maximum range and poor accuracy that can interfere with hitting an airborne trooper. As previously stated, the FC has poor range and accuracy, making it a bad choice on long range maps or taking on airborne targets.

However, it is excellent against melee targets, as a melee user's shield is not enough to block out the AOE storm, and under most circumstances.

More then that, it can render Kinetic Barrier and Kinetic Shield useless since it can punch thru the shield. The cannon lobs numerous large flak shells at incredible speeds towards incoming aerial targets.
