Microsoft Lifechat LX is compatible with Windows 8. Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click " Recording devices ". Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select " Show Disabled Devices " and " Show Disconnected Devices ".

I've updated one PC and one Dell Notebook. Both with the problem only in the microphone. I had notice that if you enable the resource to hear your microphone you listen yourself , LX works. I usually just Duct tape around it so that it's as if no damage has been done to it Note: I'm pretty careful with my things, not aggressive or whatever.

I don't enjoy anything as small as a scratch or it will bug me. I've bought 2 of these exact headsets and I grew accustomed to it.
